Finding a Daily Beauty Routine

March 13, 2019Rita

I have a confession to make. I am one of those women who really don’t do much in the daily beauty department. I rarely put on makeup anymore and only clean my face like once a day. I know! I know! I really need to up my game but I hate going through all of that. I must have done something right though because I don’t look my age. I look much younger thank goodness. Of course that is most likely just good genes.

I recently came across an article from L’Oreal Paris and realized that I need to up my game in ways you can’t even imagine. I know that I don’t drink enough water at all.

Clean Face-Twice A Day

Like I said this only happens once a day when I take a shower. I know I need to do it when I wake up and before I go to bed. It is something that I am working on. It is said that it only take 21 days to make something a habit. I will let you know! Another thing I don’t use is a toner. The reason for that is I have rosacea and a toner burns when I put them on.

I do use a moisturizer several times a day. Especially when I have a flare up and it is a prescription one. I also use a screen screen on my face every single time I go outside at all. I mean even to get the mail I put it on. I always have done that. I put it on under my makeup as well. I don’t use face peels because of the rosacea either. I tried that one and it sent me straight to the doctor. I do occasionally use a scrub that my doctor approved of.

This is something that I most likely won’t do every day. I work from home and am not crazy about the heaviness of most makeup. Who knows though maybe I will give a try for a week and then see how I feel.

What is your daily beauty routine? Let us know in the comments.

I moisturize twice a day and drink a lot of water.I like you don’t like a lot of makeup either. I go for a more natural look most of the time.

I think women are so beautiful and I really don’t understand the need for make up. I think often I may use eye liner or mascara but that ‘s about it, Once in a great great while I will actually use other make up which 99% I have no clue whats its for and go home and try it out and it either ends up in the garbage or one of my daughters ask , ma ‘ give it to me LOLL. I think for me , its just really the fear of things clogging up my skin or creating something evil in my body, like cancer would do. I do have some make up set aside just for fun! though, for me and the grandchildren, we sometimes like playing dress up LOLL but usually the make up comes off as fast as we had put it on LOL. oh well’ all in fun I guess.

I have had the pretty much the same beauty routine for the past ten years, I’ve only changed up some things when new products come out that I like and actually work well. I take my vitamins, drink lots of water, apply spf and moisturizer daily, I clean my beauty products weekly and wash my face twice a day.

I love makeup, especially lip color and mascara. I don’t go through a long beauty routine, but I don’t like to leave the house without a little something. It makes me feel like I made an effort! If I’m staying home, though, I don’t bother with makeup.

I usually only wear mascara and eyeliner. I’m 24 but after I had my son I break out a lot so right now I’m just looking for something that will really help with my acne

I am terrible with establishing a regular routine and at my age I wonder if I can change. Thanks for the article.

I don’t have a lot that I do for my beauty routine. I wash my face and use moisturizer and minimal amount of makeup unless I’m going out.

My daily beauty routine, cleanse face twice a day, moisturize twice, wear a small amount of makeup, get plenty of sleep, drink plenty of water, eat lots of fruits/veggies.

I have twin daughters who just turned 16 that has been doing a lot of cleansing, etc. because of acne issues. I think I bought about every product out there including microderm abrasions for them. They too, do not like the makeup thing and would actually rather be natural. One however, just went to Ulta beauty to get things to cover the acne since being teased at school.

If I’m being perfectly honest, my “beauty” routine is face-washing, tooth-brushing, and hair-combing. I guess that’s kinda sad, but there it is.

I don’t have a routine. I was a single parent for 20 years, so had no time. Since I work at home I don’t wear makeup often. I think it’s a plus to not be tugging on your face all the time. I try to moisturize daily as my skin is dry.

I am definitely drinking more water now that the weather is finally getting warmer. Also I moisturize with moisturizer with sunscreen during the day and use a night cream. I also try to deep condition my hair every couple of weeks and I take super primrose supplements to combat thyroid issue hair loss and help me feel a bit better.

I have a daily routine. At times I skip taking off my make up at night which I know is a big no no.

Since having my daughter, 4 years ago, I stopped wearing makeup to work. I only wore it on special occasions. I have started back wearing makeup to work in the last month & I must say that it does make me feel better about myself.

I wash my face twice daily – once in the morning followed by Preventage moisturizer and once before bed with Repairage nightly moisturizer. If I don’t do this, the amount of dry skin is insane. I rarely ever wear makeup.

I wear makeup fairly often, but I’m not the best at removing it before I go to bed. Some nights I’m just so exhausted that it doesn’t even cross my mind. I’ve been trying to get better about it and keep moisturizer on my face several times a day since I have dry skin. I don’t wear makeup nearly as often as I used to because it makes it easier to keep my face moisturized, but I don’t leave the house without at least some on.

I don’t have much of a daily beauty routine but I am getting older. I need to practice some kind of skin care. I have wrinkles and dark spots. 🙁 getting old stinks. Thank you for sharing though.
