Ghosts are real.
Well, technically speaking, maybe not. But the ones that haunt a man’s soul? Those are very real. So real, in fact, that there are times when Castiel would rather silence them forever in the worst way possible than to go on living with them haunting his every step.
All it took was one single second in time for his attention to drift, and everything changed.
Life as he once knew it, is over.
Now he’s struggling to make sense of the pieces that are left, and he’s fairly sure at least half of them are missing.
He’s living for three things now.
His club—the Bear Bottom Guardians.
His work as a police officer for Bear Bottom Police Department.
And the occasional glimpse of a girl that makes his spirit feel free.
Despite the ghosts that haunt him, he’s not willing to present them with another target. Which is why he has to stay away from her. He can’t touch her. He can’t talk to her. He can’t get anywhere near her.
Not and live with himself afterward.
The only problem is, Turner doesn’t care what Castiel wants. She also has a solution for his ghosts.
You may call her Ms. Ghostbuster.

My first thoughts o n this one is that it is a Lani Lynn Vale book and there was no way I was going to miss it. I read any and everything she writes.
This book hit home for me. Turner was once a big girl and some of the emotions she goes through I have experienced and that made this one even better for me. I love when I can relate to a character. The first few pages had me in tears because I have been there and could easily picture the scene unfolding. After having a successful surgery Turner isn’t the big girl anymore but old insecurities die hard.
She meets Castiel when he gives her a ticket. They become enemies right away but slowly since they have the same friends in common that changes. Castiel has been hurt by a beautiful woman whose daddy has money so he has his own set of issues concerning Turner.
There was so much to love about this book and these two. First Turner’s last name is Hooch y’all! Come on, I loved it! Next was one of her jobs. It was so great that I had to look up if that was a real job. There are plenty of heart breaking moments as well. In fact, one of those moments is what brings Turner and Castiel together. I also loved the Thanksgiving that happens in the book. It could have been heartbreaking and sad but those two made it their own.
