Series: Count to Ten #7

Keep her mouth shut and let a killer get revenge or risk the truth about her coming out?

Daisy Xander has spent her entire life trying to hide who she really is and where she’s come from. But no matter how many measures she has taken and how many sacrifices she has made the truth is about to come out and she’s already chosen how she’s going to deal with it—she’s going to let herself get killed.

For Mark Xander life keeps getting worse and worse. Left to raise his four kids alone, then his youngest son comes face to face with a killer, and his estranged wife seems to have a relationship with the victim. Daisy won’t tell anyone what’s going on and when more victims keep falling it soon becomes clear, Daisy is either involved or she’s on the killer’s list.

I love a good suspense and since I was looking for something to fill the void of that in my reading life I jumped on this particular book and series. I was ready to be enthralled and Jane Blythe did not disappoint. Jane Blythe has mastered the art of suspense and keeping the reader on edge. It is something that I loved.

Daisy and Mark appear to have the perfect life, marriage, and children. Then one day, for no reason, Daisy leaves. She leaves March and her children without any sort of explanation. Why in the world would she do that? That decision is the one that leaves her motives in question at times. What kind of woman would just walk out and how is she connected the victim.  When the truth finally came out I was left feeling horrible about myself. I mean I thought all kinds of awful things about Daisy. Mainly because the pain she was causing her kids was so apparent in their points of views.

There is more than enough suspense and for me the crime was horrific but I think it is what makes the books as good as it was. I can’t wait for the next in the series. Actually I can’t wait for the next three in the series. I really want to see where all of this goes. All in all this was a captivating book and series so far.

About Jane Blythe

Jane has loved reading and writing since she can remember. She writes dark and disturbing crime/mystery/suspense with some romance thrown in because, well, who doesn’t love romance?! She has several series including the complete Detective Parker Bell series, the Count to Ten series, the Christmas Romantic Suspense series, and the Flashes of Fate series of novelettes.

When she’s not writing Jane loves to read, bake, go to the beach, ski, horse ride, and watch Disney movies. She has a black belt in Taekwondo, a 200+ collection of teddy bears, and her favorite color is pink. She has the world’s two most sweet and pretty Dalmatians, Ivory and Pearl. Oh, and she also enjoys spending time with family and friends!

I would likely read this one. I read mystery suspense and thrillers. I like the action. This one sounds good as there are plot twists and that is something I enjoy.

The plot and your review surely leave us readers with a lot of questions. I’m a big fan of suspance/thriller novels myself so I’m adding Seven to my TBR list!
