September 2018 Workout Challenge

Okay, I didn’t really do this last month at all. Not to mention July was a HUGE flop!! So I thought I would start this month out pretty small. This month I want to simply walk every day. Yep that is it. I’m not actually starting this until Monday 9/10 but that is my challenge for this month. To walk at least 10 minutes every single day. If I manage to go longer, great! but I am not going to force anything more than the 10 minutes.

Monday 9/10/18

This morning I managed to walk for 15 minutes! I will tell you that it wasn’t easy since I did it on the treadmill. I thought about going outside but I figured the treadmill would be more of a challenge since it is at a bit of an incline. We will see what tomorrow brings.

Tuesday 9/11/18

Today was a bit difficult. I didn’t sleep well last night and I ended up way earlier than I meant to be. I only managed a 5 minute walk on the treadmill but I will be walking around a little later on doing photos so I will take that as a win for the day.

Wednesday 9/12/18

Today, I got a full 10 minutes in and feel pretty great about it. I am a bit behind in getting every day shared but don’t worry I will catch up. I make notes on how long I workout and what I’m feeling so I can share it with y’all.

Thursday 9/13/14

This morning I did my ten minutes and then went and looked at a house as well. It is close to where I live now so I walked there to.

Friday 9/14/18

I didn’t do my ten minutes this morning because I had a day full of errands. I had to go to several places in town. When I say in town, know that I live in a really small town. The kind that you park in one place and walk everywhere else. I did that in the morning and then went into the city to buy groceries so there was plenty of walking.

Saturday 9/15/18

I broke three toes last night getting out of the shower. My shower has glass doors and that little lip on the track they slide on got me. I didn’t lift my foot high enough and actually heard the snack of the little bones as they broke. The good thing is they have been broken several times (I hit my toes a lot) but the bad news is one is so crooked now. Enough after it was pulled straight, that little bugger is still crooked. I did walk today but it was just a few minutes due to pain. Why is it that your toes hurt worst than anything else when you break them or even just hit them?

Sunday 9/16/18

I walked for nine minutes this morning. Why you asked? Cause I was running late for church and nine minutes was all I could do. I did park as far in the parking lot as I could and hobbled myself to the church. The toes are still swollen and hurt so I may not do any more today. I went tot he early mass so that I wouldn’t have to stand and talk to a bunch of people.

Monday 9/17/18

Got in a full ten minutes today. Nothing fancy and I sort of rushed through it.

Tuesday 9/18/18

Again got in my ten minutes, although I will you that I was running a little behind this morning. I over slept.

Wednesday 9/19/18

It is currently 7 am, I have done my 8 before 8 and got in twelve minutes this morning. I actually would have gone longer but I hurt a little today and didn’t want to push myself too hard.

    Good for you, choosing walking for 10 minutes as a daily goal.
    I live near a greenway, but this summer has just been so hot, I can barely stand to go outside. But Fall is coming, along with (hopefully) cooler weather, and I am going to walk on the greenway every day that has good & cooler weather!

    Until I injured my foot walking was my favorite exercise! I need to force myself to put on corrective shoes & do this!

    I plan to start going to gym in the next week and also would love to increase my water intake!

    I try to walk on the treadmill 45 minutes daily..Some days it is a struggle to want to get on there but listening to my favorite music always motivates me 🙂

      I listen to audio books so I can get lost in the book and not think about walking. Music makes me want to dance and sing too much and I fall off the treadmill when that happens.

    I too am accident prone when it comes to breaking toes. But when I am not suffering from broken toes, walking is my favorite exercise, especially when the weather is good and I can walk outside.
